Getting started

Your first storefront

From a new project to a storefront that feels like you.

Start with a project

Sign in to CompactEditor and create a storefront from your workspace. Give it a name, choose a supported template, and verify template access when prompted.

Paid template licenses are purchased separately on BuiltByBit. Use the account that holds your purchase when connecting BuiltByBit. See template access.

Design with a catalog

The demo catalog gives you sample packages to design around. You can also import your real categories and packages with a public Tebex Headless API token.

An import creates a snapshot; it does not establish a continuously synchronized connection. Your public token is used for the import and is not saved. Importing a catalog does not connect a merchant or enable checkout. Read about catalog imports.

Make it yours

Open a project to change its branding, colors, logo, and supported appearance settings. In Edit mode, select text or artwork in the preview to adjust it. Switch to Preview mode to try the design.

Save your changes before opening the saved draft in a separate tab. Unsaved work in the editor is not the same as your saved draft.

Publish when ready

Publishing creates a snapshot at your project’s storefront address. Later draft changes stay in the draft until you publish again. Access to published links follows the site’s access settings.

Hosted checkout needs a verified connection.

For a Minecraft store, verify your template purchase and Tebex merchant connection, then explicitly publish a native storefront. Tebex handles checkout, payments, and delivery. Follow the hosted checkout setup.
